Magewappa is a traditional Japanese craft made from thin sheets of cedar or cypress wood. These sheets are skillfully bent into cylindrical shapes to create wooden containers. The fine, straight grain of Akita’s cryptomeria wood gives Magewappa its visual appeal. Additionally, the wood’s ability to absorb moisture makes it ideal for crafting traditional lunch boxes and other containers designed to hold cooked rice. The delicate scent of cryptomeria serves as Japanese trip memory.
